The Main site has been in operation since 1987 and is adjacent to Lambton Meadowview Villa. It was the first inter-generational child care centre in Ontario and still offers an intergenerational programming component. An emergent inspired curriculum is embedded in each of our programs. Our early years teachers scaffold your child’s learning by providing a rich environment designed to inspire the expression of your child’s individual strengths.

  • We care for children ages 3 months to 4 years at this site.

Preschool Early Learning Program

What is the Preschool Early Learning Program (PELP)?
Through play, PELP helps prepare young children for life by developing five age-appropriate school readiness skills: physical, emotional, social, language and cognitive development. PELP is 2.5 hours and families can access up to 16 sessions per month at no cost.

Who is eligible?
PELP is open to Lambton County children between 31 months to four years of age who are not eligible for junio or senior kindergarten.

How long is PELP?
The PELP is available ten months of the year from September to June. Children can begin participating at 31 months and continue until they are eligible for junior kindergarten.

How much does PELP cost?
The Preschool Early Learning Program is free space permitting. Residents living in Lambton County who have children 31 months to 4 years can participate in this program. The program is also available in French. Parents who want additional time at the child care centre can pay based on the child care operator’s rate.
